It was never a physical battle.
At the start of this year I was overweight and unmotivated. I didn't care which direction my life was heading, and it showed in everything I did.
Training changed that. I lost 50 pounds in six months, and the lifting was the simple part. The real fight was in my head: getting up on the days I didn't want to, and not quitting when progress slowed down.
Today I'm in the most successful position of my life. I'm earning more than I ever have, and my mental health is the best it's ever been. The iron built all of it. And it can for you too.
Then
- Overweight
- Unmotivated and drifting
- No plan for where my life was going
- Losing the fight in my own head
Now
- 50 pounds lighter
- Competing in NPC Men's Physique and Spartan races
- The most successful I've ever been
- The best mental health of my life
Nobody wins that fight alone.
Motivation fades. What makes change stick is a battle buddy: someone who checks in every week, holds you to your word, and won't let you quietly disappear. That's the role I take on for every client I coach.
